Behavior Technician

(This is an hourly position)

This entry level position provides children and/or teens diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities support in relation to communication skills, social skills, self-help skills and play skills. A high school diploma and an interest in working with children is required. Candidates who have experience in the field of ABA, and have completed their associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree will be considered for hire above the entry level. All behavior technicians will receive an intensive initial training course followed by ongoing in-service training and supervision.


Advanced Behavior Technician

This position requires 1-3 years working in clinic, home, or school. Advanced knowledge and understanding of principles and techniques in Applied Behavior Analysis, ability to take direction and communicate with clinical directors and supervisors; ability to collect daily data and write daily notes; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. BCBA will create program designs, complete assessments, write progress reports, and support supervisors and behavior technicians.


Clinical Supervisor

Master’s degree required. 1-3 years of working in clinic, home, or school. Clinical supervisor is responsible in managing staff on cases and overseeing certain amount of caseload. Supervisor works alongside the Clinical Director to develop clinical skills in behavior technicians, create program designs, complete assessments, and write progress reports.


BCBA Clinical Supervisor

BCBA with current certification. 1-3 years working in clinic, home, or school. Advanced knowledge and understanding of principles and techniques in Applied Behavior Analysis, ability to take direction and communicate with clinical directors and supervisors; ability to collect daily data and write daily notes; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. BCBA will create program designs, complete assessments, write progress reports, and support supervisors and behavior technicians.


Clinical Director

Must have either a master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, psychology, special education, or a related field; or a special education teaching credential. Certification in applied behavior analysis (BCBA®) required. They must have over three years of experience working within the field, one year of which must include supervisory/management responsibilities. The clinical director designs, coordinates, and modifies behavioral programs, performs behavioral assessments (including functional analyses), and oversees the quality of service delivery. The clinical director also provides regular supervision for senior therapists, direct service providers and supervisors, performs ongoing and initial assessments (including functional analyses), and supervises their work.


Speech Therapists  (Orange County Region Only)

Minimum requirements for clinical positions are a master’s degree and appropriate clinical licensure or certification. In addition, all ST staff are given ABA training. The primary roles of the speech therapist are:

  • Conduct ongoing speech, language, communication, and language learning assessments to determine the direction of the program and design programs to address the identified challenges.
  • Request parents to take part in therapy sessions.
  •  Conduct ongoing assessments to determine what communication issues are interfering with learning as well as design programs to address the identified behaviors.
  • Develop and implement goals and objectives in the areas of speech (e.g., to address articulation, childhood apraxia of speech), language (e.g., to address receptive and expressive language disorders), communication (e.g., social language/pragmatics) and cognitive skills.
  •  Provide written data after each session.
  •  Collaborate with all other team members.
  •  Provide appropriate referrals to other professionals in the community.

Occupational Therapists (Orange County Region only)

Minimum requirements for clinical positions are a master’s degree and appropriate clinical licensure or certification. In addition, all OT staff are given ABA training. The primary roles of the occupational therapist are:

  • Conduct ongoing assessments to determine what sensory processing issues are interfering with learning as well as design programs to address the identified behaviors.
  •  Request parents to take part in therapy sessions.
  •  Develop and implement goals and objectives in the areas of fine and gross motor skills, visual motor integration, motor planning, daily living skills, sensory or motor based feeding challenges, and reducing rigidity and increasing flexibility within daily living routines.
  •  Provide written data after each session.
  •  Collaborate with all other team members.
  •  Provide appropriate referrals to other professionals in the community.

Physical Therapists (Orange County Region Only)

Minimum requirements for clinical positions are a master’s degree and appropriate clinical licensure or certification. In addition, all PT staff are given ABA training. The primary roles of the physical therapist are:

  •  Conduct ongoing assessments in the area of physical development.
  •  Request parents to take part in therapy sessions.
  •  Develop and implement goals and objectives in the areas of mobility, gait, gross motor development, motor skill performance, balance, postural control and alignment, strength, endurance, coordination, motor control, motor learning, flexibility and/or muscle tone.
  •  Provide written data after each session.
  •  Collaborate with all other team members.
  •  Provide appropriate referrals to other professionals in the community.
