Pediatricians and diagnosticians are often the first contact for families who have a child diagnosed with autism. While early identification of an autism spectrum disorder is critical to a family accessing early intervention therapy, Autism Learning Partners' behavioral clinicians believe strongly in a collaborative and multidisciplinary approach to this therapy.
This event will focus on the research within the field of applied behavior analysis specific to early identification and early intervention along with a focus on how the multiple disciplines can work together to create the most effective and comprehensive treatment plan for any child diagnosed with autism. An activity to demonstrate the process in which behavior analysts and physicians assess and identify deficits within a child’s developmental milestone trajectory will be a component of this event.
