Courtney has worked in education for more than 15 years as a Special Education teacher, a consultant for multiple early childhood programs, and a manager of clinical staff.  She has always had a passion for special education and Autism specifically, having worked with clients and families from birth through adulthood in a variety of placements.  A large focus of Courtney’s career has centered around parent and caregiver training, providing highly individualized support to caregivers to strengthen client progress.  She is also the author of “Inclusion Practices for the Early Childhood Educator” which provides strategies for caregivers working with children with special needs in early childhood settings.  She is very excited to open ALP in Washington State and looks forward to working with you!

“There needs to be a lot more emphasis on what a child can do instead of what they cannot do.”
