Courtney has worked in education for more than 15 years as a Special Education teacher, a consultant for multiple early childhood programs, and a manager of clinical staff. She has always had a passion for special education and Autism specifically, having worked with clients and families from birth through adulthood in a variety of placements. A large focus of Courtney’s career has centered around parent and caregiver training, providing highly individualized support to caregivers to strengthen client progress. She is also the author of “Inclusion Practices for the Early Childhood Educator” which provides strategies for caregivers working with children with special needs in early childhood settings. She is very excited to help support ALP’s services in Washington and looks forward to working with you.

Lucinda Heidel has been practicing in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis for more than 20 years. She started her career as a 1:1 aide in the home and school settings.
Lucinda has worked with a range of disabilities including: autism, cerebral palsy, emotional disturbance, learning disabilities, anxiety disorders, fetal alcohol syndrome, ADHD, and down syndrome. She has worked with a range of clients with different disabilities from 18 months to 45 years old. For the last 2 years, Lucinda implemented behavior analytic principles in free public Montessori charter schools assisting students with disabilities to be fully included in the classroom with their peers.
Lucinda is passionate about teaching any motivated client, regardless of age or disability, to have friends. She is a certified provider for PEERS for Adolescents through UCLA which is an evidenced based social skills intervention for motivated adolescents who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. She received her bachelors in Psychology from University of Phoenix and her Masters of Education with an emphasis in Instruction and Curriculum from Chapman University. Lucinda has attended several trainings with Dr. Hayes on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and implemented ACT in the clinical settings.
Lucinda recently moved to Washington from Sacramento, California with her family and is excited to explore this wonderful state!

We continue to work with insurance companies as they begin to cover ABA services. If you don’t see your insurance provider on our list, give us a call to see if we accept your specific plan or can arrange for a single case agreement.
