Integrating Social Skills Techniques into the Daily Life of a Child with ASD
Integrating social skills techniques into the daily life of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder - is a workshop designed for families who are looking for methods of teaching and sustaining social skills with their children of whom have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other related behavioral disorders.
Absent or weak social skills is an area that affects many children with ASD. The ability to communicate effectively, respond to social cues, and understand the rules of the game, etc. can impact a child’s ability to engage appropriately with peers.
This workshop is designed to help caregivers who have children that are currently struggling with engaging in appropriate social interactions with peers across various settings. Our team of behavioral specialists will provide strategies for caregivers on how to help children be successful in social situations in order to develop age-appropriate peer relationships.
Join us for a discussion on this topic as well as a free raffle for a Kindle Fire Tablet for anyone who attends.
NOTE: while children are welcome to attend with you, childcare will not be provided. Because seating is limited at this event, we will also limit how many children may accompany each family. If you find yourself needing more seats than allowed while registering for the event, please contact us at (818) 298-4575. Thank you!
