Getting Services started at Autism Learning Partners

You just got a diagnosis. So now what?


Having your child receive a diagnosis of Autism can cause a range of sometimes overwhelming feelings including fear, anger, sadness, frustration, guilt and confusion. These emotions, and others, are normal and completely acceptable. Really, it’s okay!

It’s also possible to feel relief. Some parents have fought so long and hard to identify their child’s issue that when a professional says, “Yes, you’re right,” and puts a name to it, they experience satisfaction. Finally there’s an answer and a plan can be made.

But overall, a diagnosis of Autism is a very, very big challenge. You didn’t see it coming. You didn’t prepare for it. So where do you even begin?

  1. Insurance card copy (front and back)
  2. Initial diagnostic report for the individual with autism (within the last five years from an MD or Licensed Psychologist)
  3. Prescription for ABA (required if diagnostic report is 3 or more years older)
  4. The most recent I.E.P (required if diagnostic report is 3 or more years older)
  5. Completed insurance information form (download it here)

That’s all it takes! From there, we’ll make the calls, send the paperwork, verify benefits and send an initial request for services. Our team will keep you informed and answer any questions you have along the way. The process usually takes 1-2 weeks, but we’ll call you as soon as we get the approval.
